Janet Craig Compacta Bio

Hailing from Africa, Dracaena Janet Craig compacta, or Dracaena Deremensis, is named after the Derema Forest in Tanzania. As the original Deremensis disappeared from cultivation, it was replaced by its resilient, adaptable and air-purifying daughter - Janet Craig compacta, wearing a thick and wavy forest green foliage. As it evolves, Dracaena Janet Craig compacta will drop a few lower leaves to be replaced by newer leaves on top.

Light Instructions

Janet Craig thrives in a well-lit space with bright direct or indirect sunlight and can adapt to areas with medium to low light where the light source is further away. Avoid placing it in spaces without natural sunlight.

Janet Craig Compacta Care

In the first few days after bringing your Janet Craig home, it may lose a few leaves or develop yellowing foliage - this is nothing to worry about. Simply shake off or trim the affected leaves, and look forward to new, healthier growth. To help it grow evenly, occasionally dust the leaves and rotate the pot by a quarter turn once a month. You can also prune it periodically to maintain your preferred shape and height.
